Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Stefan Birrer is a visionary in real-time streaming and network optimization, holding more than 20 patents that have shaped the future of high-performance data delivery. With a PhD in Computer Science, Stefan co-founded and led Phenix Real Time Solutions, where he transformed the company from an emerging concept into a market leader serving more than 50 enterprise clients.
His technical innovations — including adaptive bit-rate streaming and flash crowd management — have become foundational to modern streaming infrastructure. At Kealu, Stefan's deep expertise in real-time architectures and low-latency systems powers the development of our revolutionary kernel-native processing platform, setting a new benchmark for how data flows in an instantaneous world.

Dr. Fabian Bustamante brings over two decades of groundbreaking research in distributed systems and networking to Kealu. A Professor of Computer Science at Northwestern University, Fabian has authored more than 50 influential papers on peer-to-peer systems, DNS optimization, and scalable architectures.
His PhD program has produced some of the leading minds in modern networking, emphasizing hands-on, in-the-wild experimentation that bridges theory and application. At Kealu, Fabian transforms years of academic research into actionable innovation, ensuring our technology remains not only theoretically sound but also engineered for real-world scale and resilience. His commitment to performance and efficiency fuels Kealu's mission to make "instantaneous" the default for digital interaction.
Chief Executive Officer
Roy Reichbach is an accomplished executive with a proven track record of leading high-growth technology companies to global success. As former President and CEO of NeuLion, Roy rose from General Counsel to CEO, leading the company through massive international expansion and negotiating its successful sale to Endeavor. He later served as CEO of Phenix Real Time Solutions, where he guided the company's strategy and operations through a period of exponential growth and industry recognition.
Beyond his corporate achievements, Roy has served as Chairman of Smile Train and founded Counslr, a digital platform dedicated to improving mental health access. At Kealu, Roy's leadership bridges innovation and execution, guiding the organization's vision to redefine the infrastructure of real-time connection and lead the world into a truly instantaneous digital era.
